Meditation (Vipassana) The Ancient Science

Vipassana is one of the most ancient meditation technique. It was rediscovered by Gautam Buddha more than 2500 years ago. Vipassana means to see things as it is the process of Self purification of mind, soul & body by self observation .

One starts by observing the natural breath to concentrate the mind with sharpened awareness proceeds to observe the changing nature of body & mind experiencing the universal truths of impermanence, suffering and egolessness .The entire path (dhamma) is a universal remedy for universal problems and has nothing to do with any organised religion or sectarianism.

For this reason ,it can be practised freely by all without conflict with race, caste or religion, in any place , any time and will prove equally benificial to one and all. Vipassana is an Art of Living which frees the individual from all the negativities of mind, such as anger, greed and ignorance. It develops positive, creative energy for the betterment of the individual and society.

It is well known that in the ancient age, rishi muni used to live for hundreds years through this
effective Science of Natural Therapy as it is very effective for those uncurable deaseases by chemical Medical Science . This has been hugely used in western & through out the World though it started from South Asia.

Shore Walk Passing through Curt Cobain's Home in Seattle,U.S.A.

It was Sunday morning on 25 june, a small olive garden team hit the streets in Seattle to take part in the 29th Annual Shore Run and Walk. About a week ago ,i saw a brochure that encouraged me to run in honor of a person who has battled or is battling cancer.

Although it was hard to wake up early in the morning, this is an excellent race to test my fitness at the part of the summer. but the running scene was a good idea to get out with motivation. I was excited because i've heard that route gonna through Seattle’s tonier neighborhoods (former home of past Kurt Cobain’s,Nirvana Band ) & he was my one of favorite singer. We knew that last bus depart Madison Park for Leschi at 7:30 am,so we had to hurry .

Curt Cobain's former home
Along beutiful Lake Washington,a couple of thousand people participated with proceeds was going to the renowned Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center which is an independent, nonprofit biomedical-research institution.

It started at 8:30 ,distance was 5 km. ,it was kind of sightseeing with great view of Lake & neat houses .I saw cobain's home ,which seems Quiet ,like nothing in anything ,i saw some bouquet infront of his house, nothing else.Than some words from his song came to my ear,'Come as you are, as you were,As I want you to be,As a friend, as a friend, as an old enemy' with some cheerful voices.Within 50 mins., we crossed the line.We had some refreshment with live band music .

After the race, names of individuals got into the leather bound book that is on permanent display in the library of Fred Hutchinson.

WOW!! that was glorious event with some fun. These kind of events have always been highly source of pride for me.

Have you ever seen Yeti 'Snowman'

The most recent sighting was in 1986 when the creature was observed by the famous climber Reinhold Messner. In 1992, an expedition discovered the Yeti's footprints in and around their camp when they awoke in the morning.

Local talk suggests, its a tall manlike creature covered with shaggy hair. It's height is approx. 6-8 feet & appx. 200 k.g. calculated from alleged sightings and depth of possible footprints. , conical scalp, pointed ears, hairless chest and a human-like face &its speed is somewhere around 60 kmh in bursts - which is almost twice as fast as a human sprinter. The areas in this region are not well traversed, so it is believable that an unknown primate lives here and remains yet undiscovered by science.

The yeti is a mythical creature who is supposed to live in the Himalayas. Although there have been many reported sightings of the Yeti, none of them have been documented with evidence in any way.The name Yeti is derived from the Tibetan yeh-teh, which means “little man-like creature”

Efficient Fuel Supply to Nepal

Fuel carrier Train to Nepal from China through Tato Pani

The insufficient supply from Indian Oil Corporation this year because of Nepal Oil Corporation's outstanding debt, has been tough on every single public effecting especially those seen unseen , livelihood depend on it. Why should we totally depend on India? China, eagerly wants to solve the scarcity of its thousands years old neighbouring country Nepal .

The sunlight that shines on the Earth in just one hour could meet world energy demand for an entire year! Solar powered vehicle run by the process called Photovoltaics ,which changes solar energy to make electricity with Solar-electric panels are integrated with the body to charge batteries which power an electric motor.

There has been absolutely no development in the bio-fuel sector There should be promotion on local substitutes of petroleum like ethanol from sugar cane molasses and bio-diesel from oilseed plant like jatropha. some foriegn companies are trying to develop less expensive electric powered motor too.

Petroleum plant in Eastern Nepal

I think the aspect of Nepalese government is to run government not a development of its country .Development of Country should run by public .Public can bring plan & proposal for development of Gas sector too which could bring foreign investor to Nepal. We have heard giant company like Shell, BP tried to in for research petroleum possibilties in Nepal .And on going research might bring optimistic results .Despite finding its own resource . Nepal should enerzise on effecient supply, developing various source mechanism.

Worshiping oneself

I was searching some old pictures in my PC, and I found some nice pictures of Mha Puja. These pictures are of Mha Puja last year (October, 2006). Nepal Seattle Society had organised Mha Puja (part of colourful Tihaar) Celebration here in Greenwood , Seattle.

Mha puja , the worship of the inner self, is unique to Newar people for purification. Mha puja exposes the relationship of a person with the nature and the cosmos for prosperity and physical well being.

We decorated mandala, with several varieties of things on floor which was purified by sprinkling holy water. We put fire on Itaa (oiled strand of strings) & fragrant incense. Light, one of the five elements used to create the universe , has a special meaning for spiritually brightens the inner self to keep anything evil at bay. We got Swataa (egg, fish, and meat) on the left hand and wine on the right hand which signifies man's victory and control over animal beings living in cell, water & land. They offered flowers & variety of fruits, nuts , sweets with Garland & colourful Jajanka (rounds of cotton thread) for a blooming, fruitful and resourceful life .

With a shower on the head of a mixture of paddy, flowers, pieces of fruits, abhir (vermilion powder), aakhe (hand-milled rice) and taye in a kule (bronze container). I invited my American freinds . They believed that relationship of a human with nature was exposed in this tradition . We finished this event by feasting together & dancing.

The coolest part was 50% of the Entrance Fee of this celebration was donated to the NSS Disaster Relief Fund to help support the floods and landslide victims in Nepal.

She is coming to Nepal for Mountain biking ("Boya boy a ira Nepal")

She, Leticia is my one of best freind in U.S.A, She is athletic . Once we went biking at northern part of Seattle, it was fun although it was scary because of continous rain.
She says"Wow an exotic mountain biking covering all the corners of NEPAL".I said "yes, we are going to Annapurna Region ,which offers some of the most dramatic finest mountain scenery in the world with trekking routes to suit all seasons and levels of fitness.

During this entire adventure you can retreat yourself with some biking funs with an outstanding variety in the cultures and landscape can be seen along the route. We could see the houses have Tibetan-style flat roofs . Villages offer you most amazing views of great Himalayas so near that your eyes won't believe it.
The elevation and rock-cliff alongside the trail and the huge never-ending Marshyangdi River makes this place more thrilling. There are historical monasteries, which reveal the backgrounds of Buddhist religion.
The trial pass (5416m), passes through 'Muktinath', a popular religious pilgrimage site with 108 water spouts. The route continues through a major market, 'Jomsom'.
The Annapurna circuit tour will be completed after entering into the Pokhara District & will enter into a touristy city, Pokhara to explore its beautiful landscapes."
I explained her & she is so excited to come NEPAL. She says- "porque esperar tanto tiempo ,vamonos maniana ?" (why wait so long, lets go Tomorrow!!!)

Lost Freinds in The Himalayas.......

On 25 May 2004, I attended with my flight planning papers for my first despatch for flight of aircraft 9N-AFD to Lukla (Gateway of Mt. Everest) ,i could see little annoying facial expression of Capt. Prakash standing with co-pilot Ravi who was my good freind,i did not try to find out the reason cause we all were well known of his habbit. But i held his hand tried to make for some smile ,he shook his head looking at me strangely something like 'you guys will see ...'

He completed that flight with in 1 hour & 10 min. . My freind Ranjan attended the next flight & it departed at around 13:30. He said " crew will have lunch in Lukla" .We all knew that weather of Lukla could deteriorate .But we were assured abbout that cargo flight because of the captain who was most experienced on that route. we kept monitoring our flights through VHF .'

"9N-AFD reporting 25 miles" & than "9N-AFD reporting 40 miles". Kathmandu Tower-"9N- AFD report Lamjura" 9N-AFD- "rojer sir"
With in ten minutes at around 13:56 ,call from Tower & he said "Do you have position of 9N-AFD ?"i said "no,something wrong" he said "we lost the communication wtih 9N-AFD & it is not responding to Lukla Tower either" .

Aviation authority asked me about our company policy for flying in adverse weather, diverting philosophy, I called my other In-charge freind Santa whom he had family relation with captain .He came in minutes. We could see anxiety on everyone's face because into terrains due to bad weather is a major cause of air accidents. Search & Rescue work began .

Army helicopters took part on that mission and returned to the capital at 5:00 pm. They located the wreckage at the bottom of a cliff on the western side of Lamjura Pass. plane has broken into many pieces and only the wing portion is intact."NO SURVIVE" one of rescuers shouted.

Crashed into 3,600m Lamjura hill (which planes have to cross to get into Lukla )while on initial approach to Lukla in poor weather conditions
Once, he him self concluded that the pilots failure to maintain the Controlled Flight

In Nepal's 62 years of aviation history, the country has witnessed a total of 65 air accidents, out of which, 35 were fatal crashes.

As Reports from investigation ,he provided false information to the Tower by declaring that he was proceeding south of the track while proceeding along the direct track all the time. His hazardous behaviour and attitudes like over-confidence voilation of regulation had caused the accident but we all knew that sharp minded with huge helping attitude & always dedicated towards flying & towards company were no more.

Students are Encouraged to Apply in U.S.A.

"America is not a fortress; no, we never want to be a fortress. We're a free country; we're an open society. And we must always protect the rights of our law -- of law-abiding citizens from around the world who come here to conduct business or to study or to spend time with their family."

-President G.W.Bush.

Hundreds of thousands of people come to the United States from around the world to study and improve their skills. Numerous programs provide a wide variety of learning opportunities. Students interested in studying in the United States must be admitted to a U.S. school or university before starting the visa process.

The U.S. government made some changes in visa procedures after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Advance planning by international travelers is essential to ensure they have their visa when they need it to come to the U.S. For most visa applicants, an interview is required as a standard part of visa processing. Improved and automated procedures have considerably sped up visa clearance procedures. Students should also remember that acceptance by a U.S. educational institution does not guarantee issuance of a student visa.
The Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) is a web-based system for maintaining information on international students and exchange visitors in the U.S.
Academic Studies (F visa): For people who have been accepted into a program to study or conduct research at an accredited U.S. college or university.

Non-Academic or Vocational Studies (M Visa) : For people who have been accepted into a program to study or train at a non-academic institution in the U.S.

Academic Studies as an Exchange Visitor (J Visas) : For people who have been accepted into a program through a designated sponsoring organization to participate in an exchange visitor program in the U.S. The "J" visa is for educational and cultural exchange programs.

The International Cultural Exchange Program (Q-1 Visa) is for certain international cultural exchange programs designed to provide practical training and employment.

A Cool Love Story

A boy and a girl were in love.

When the girl's father came to know about their love, he did not like it at all, and so began to protest about it.

Now it happened that the two lovers decided to leave their homes for a happy future.

The girl's father started searching for the two lovers but could not find them . At last, he accepted their love and asked them to come back home thru a local newspaper. Her father said "If you both come back I will allow you to marry the guy you love, I accept that you loved each other truly." So in this way, their love won and they returned home.

The couple next day went to town to shop for the wedding dress. He was dressed in a white shirt that day. While he was crossing the road to the other side to get some drinks for his wife, a car came and hit him and he died on the spot.

The girl was devastated and lost her senses. It was only after sometime that she recovered from her shock. The funeral and cremation was the very next day because he had died horribly.

Two nights later, the girl's mother had a dream in which she saw an old lady. The old lady asked her mother to wash the blood stains of the guy from her daughter's dress as soon as possible. But her mother ignored the dream.

The next night her father had the same dream , he also ignored it. Then the girl had the same dream the next night, she woke up in fear and told her mother about the dream. Her mother asked her to wash the clothes with the blood stains immediately. She washed the stains but some remained.

Next night she again had the same dream. She again washed the stains but some still remained. But again the next night she had the same dream and this time the old lady gave her a last warning to wash the blood stain, or else something terrible would happen. This time the girl tried her best to wash the stains, and the clothes nearly tore, but some stains still remained.

She was very tired. In the late evening the same day while she was alone at home, someone knocked on the door. When she opened the door she saw the same old lady of her dream standing at her door. She got very scared and fainted.

The old lady woke her up... and gave her a blue object, which shocked the girl. She asked "What is this...?" The old lady replied... . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I have been through this too.

Some one had emailed this to me. I'm also hunting for the idiot who mailed this to me.

Visit to U.S.A

Confused, little nervous because i had already started to count remain hours for my departure to U.S. Since Dashain tika had just finished but yet had to visit some relatives to get tika but i could not attend despite their insistence .I wished that i could slow down stormy time .

So quickly my last night at my house came ,which was so hard to pass.It was almost 6 hour's tug of war in my mind questioning like, why this day come to my life? I knew that price that i would have to pay would never gonna reim-burse & those time would never come back again.I could imagine , it's gonna be hard for my loving wife who is not just intelligent but she is my inspiration too,

I saw my innocent, one & half years old daughter was sleeping ,i kept thinking that 'oh my god from tomorrow i wont see them for may be years & thought that it would be much more harder if she was more younger , questioning to my self & trying to find out the reason for this day ,again looking at my daughtar 'may be for her better future' .For her future, she would not see me for years & i have to leave most dearest daughter who is most prescise to me ,but i was like stupid blaming my child for this day............

I hated those brightness of the morning because i've to leave at around 11:00 for airport , i had to finished my packing & was trying to remember necessary stuffs, i had to collect medicine .thanks to my brother who helped me a lot & i started to get sagun from everyone & they all were blessing me for future .some of them was saying that '''wow you are damn lucky fellow , you are going to U.S. ,you must be happy yeah'''.But i could feel the concealed pain was going inside my heart. It was so hard to leave my family & my country .

And i was kind of stupid that I was ignoring my wife & daughter ,so that i could quit from them easily . i knew it that its kind of losing & gaining reality .I got hugs & goodbye from every body & headed towards airport , i could not interrupt tears coming from my eyes .I got final good byes & wishes from my dad ,brothers & freinds .I was with my cousin who was staff of Qatar airways at departure hall waiting for the announcement from the thai airways ,as soon as i got onboard & fastened my seatbelt, i was imagining that finally my dream had become true but i knew that its gonna be long journey...

Rib Ticklers

#1. Fuse of brain
How many IBM employees does it take to screw in a light bulb? 10,000: one to hold up the light bulb, and 9,999 to turn the building around.

#2. Welcome to heaven
The pope and a lawyer are on the elevator to heaven. When they arrive at the gates, there's a mad rush of angels, saints, and other holy people on their way to greet them. When they arrive, they pick the lawyer up on their shoulders and carry him off cheering hysterically. The pope is deeply saddened. St. Peter sees this and goes over to him and says, "Don't feel bad. We get popes in here all the time, it's not every day we get a lawyer."

#3. Golfer priest
One Sunday morning, a priest wakes up and decides to go golfing. He calls his boss and says that he feels very sick, and won't be able to go to work.
Way up in heaven, one Saint sees all this and asks God, ''Are you really going to let him get away with this?''
''No, I guess not,'' says God.
The priest drives about five to six hours away, so he doesn't bump into anyone he knows. The golf course is empty when he gets there. So he takes his first swing, drives the ball 495 yards away and gets a hole in one. Oh my gosh ,,,that was amaging....no one did that before.
Saint watches in disbelief and asks, '' Why did you let him do that?''
To this God says, ''Who's he going to tell?''

They are back but leave them alone

So what went wrong by then? Maybe Kate had had enough of the paparazzi.

Kate suddenly found herself at the centre of intense speculation. And, for the first time in their long relationship, she really became the story.

Even the Prime Minister tony Blair called for people to leave the couple alone then that the shock news of their split had been revealed.

The sheer amount of attention Kate was getting put an unbearable strain on William. He, more than anyone else, will not be pressured into marriage by a media scrum hungry for an announcement.

The much-talked about royal relationship between Prince William and beauty Kate Middleton may be on again! Prince William has officially rekindled his romance with ex-girlfriend Kate Middleton. It is said that the future king persuaded Kate to give their relationship one more go and now the pair are "closer than ever."

There is a speculation that Prince William and Kate Middleton have resumed their relationship, British newspapers reported .

It should be realized that they would get a certain amount of press attention because that was “the way it is"

A source say William has convinced Kate that the problems of dating a future king are a price worth paying. The two were seen kissing at a party at William’s army barracks. Kate also attended memorial Concert for Diana although she sat apart from William, according to reports.

Britain’s News of The World tabloid claimed the couple had been on a string of low-key dates since their split.

Its obvious that they are a great couple have to be seen . Nothing like some summer loving, kids. Fans will just have to wait for the big wedding announcement and see!

You could say 'she looks great in crown' or it would be prediction but anybody shouldn't comment on their personal life & I hope chasing works should be stopped.

Will microsoft answer to iPhone?

After the release of iPhone by Apple, inc, the debate that 'will microsoft answer to iPhone ?' has been raised drastically. Do you think will microsoft answer to iPhone ? or should it ? Well, I think it should not.

iPhone is a revolutionary new mobile phone that allows us to make a call by simply tapping a name or number in our address book, a favorites list, or a call log. It also automatically syncs all your contacts from a PC, Mac, or Internet service. And it lets us select and listen to voicemail messages in whatever order we want — just like email. These features will definately attract all the general people to the professionals and geeks. Now, everyone is curious to know microsoft's reaction about creating similar products.

No one can win in all the areas, nor can microsoft, the experts say. The microsoft's product zoon (so called iPod killer) was one of the greatest example. But we can not predict all the things now eventhough Robbie Bach (President, Entertainment & Devices Division of Microsoft) was seen stating that the iPhone "doesn't change Microsoft's strategy nor its approach."

Kumari : Goddess or an Actress ?

You might have heard that a 10-year-old Kumari from Bhaktapur (Nepal), Sajani Shakya was stripped of her title as a living goddess because she traveled overseas to promote a documentary about the centuries-old tradition.

Sajani had her status revoked because she broke with tradition by leaving the country and the authority have begun the process to search for a new Kumari.

Sajani is among several "Kumaris," or living goddesses, in Nepal, and as one of the kingdom's top three, is forbidden from leaving the country. However, last month she went to the United States and other countries to promote a British documentary about the living goddesses of the Katmandu Valley.

Ishbel Whitaker, director of the film "Living Goddess" said she was shocked and saddened by this news and would make sure the girl's education was provided for. "The rule of not being able to leave was never a rule before.... Nobody ever said the Kumari can't travel" she said.

The film crew consulted anthropologists, the head priests of Sajani's temple and her parents, the director said. And she said the Nepalese Embassy helped arrange Sajani's trip to the U.S.

Critics have said the tradition violates both international and Nepalese laws on child rights. But the film director said the Kumari tradition can be modern as well.

"Sajani seemed to be a great example of how the tradition can move into the modern age," Whitaker said. She said she made the film because the living goddess tradition is beautiful and worth capturing before it disappears.

But people here are still curious about the purpose of visit of Kumari to U.S. If she was brought here for a mere 'publicity' of a documentary without the consent of the related authorities, critcs have started here talking like is Sajani living goddess or an actress ??
